SAMSON

I am so old that my first interest in music was sparked by Peter, Paul, & Mary. The image of Samson with his new growth of hair feeling his strength return, was powerful to me.

I'm gonna tear this building down.

I disagree with your ultimate assessment here.

This is not the end of an era. This is the beginning of a new wave. There are important provisions in this legislative package. Extension of unemployment benefits, some health care provisions that could open a door to new coverage provisions in the future, construction projects, tax breaks for the middle class as promised during the campaign.....

Some bad stuff. Sure. But we do not know what is going to work and what is not. We do know that w failed and his philosophy failed, and his bribes to the captains of industry failed, and his appointments to high office failed....basically it all failed.

There will be more economic legislation as early as this year that addresses education and a number of other issues.

Buck up. This will be a fun ride!!!

Oh and keep up the good work on cable. Matthews likes you and your message gets out.

Crimes & Criminals

You note something here:

"...for those who want to see Bush officials held accountable for the crimes the way that ordinary Americans mercilessly are..."

I am upset about our prison population. Forget race. Just look at the prison population on the basis of class.

The jokes are made too often about criminal defense counsel all over the country arguing to juries that we should look forward and not backwards.

I like this commission idea. I want a place where we can pull a cite out every time some repub starts saying this never happened or that is a lie.

Nixon was a racist. No he was not. Simple. Just pull out the transcripts. Read the relevant portions out loud. And move on.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Between Conyers & Leahy, we might have adequate documentation and a good summary.

If we do not find out what happened, how will we 'fix' it?

CLASS WARFARE

BRING IT ON

Good Mantra Joan. Wonderful.

There is class warfare going on on the streets of America every single day. And for eight long years, guess who has been winning?

But the battle is turning. A new day has dawned. 98% against the 2%. The 2% who got us into this mess using propaganda and other deceptive means to reach their goals.

Good, good post!!!!

Cramer

Superb. Just superb. Glenn you are the best. You put together two threads from different times, and you do it marvelously.

And the next time someone tells me that the only good interviewers are on the Comedy Channel I will remind them that Bill Moyers is still here and I watch him every week.

Well done.
