I think the real problem here is the CBS Producers didn't know WHAT they wanted the rebranded Evening News to look like, or what they wanted poor Katie to actually be... but their worst sin was that they stupidly wasted her greatest talent: she is a killer interviewer when she's left alone to do serious one on one interviews. Instead her producers wanted to make her "fun" and "warm" etc - things that she already is naturally. It wasn't sexism - it was sheer stupidity. Or maybe a little of both - but don't discount the stupidity. What a waste.

First, I was pointing out that boys are sold into sex slavery not to disprove that sexism exists, but to point out your myopia - it's not just about gender sometimes. Second, I find it laughable that anyone could say that sexism and racism are "equal" - no genocide or war of extermination has ever been perpetrated exclusively against women. Racism, at its very worst, leads to genocide. You simply cannot say the same thing about sexism.
