My dear Scott the Great,

"Yup. I don't think there's an ideological gap between the right wing dipshits and the rest of us -- it's an intellectual gap. They're just stupid. And thats the problem with stupid people that think they're smart; they're not smart enough to realize how goddamn stupid they are."

And they think that the people who don't agree with THEIR politics are stupid.

Whenever you have an enemy, you become that person.

You are just too stupid to realize it.

Anyone who voted for Obama or McCain and believed ANYTHING they said is the definition of stupid.

If you think that Obama is going to reform Heath Care in any manner save for empty words and lip service, you are sadly mistaken.

It is Good Cop Bad Cop and they BOTH are cops and they both want to score.

Politics is never ending stupid.

My dear kristinp,

"In the very early '80s, in College Station, TX, when Phil Gramm was our congressman, I helped start a peace group. Seven of us decided to go to his next townhall meeting to ask some questions about his votes on issues relevant to our group.

We already knew that most of the other folks there would be conservative Republicans asking about dairy subsidies and other relatively uncontroversial stuff, so we would definitely stand out.

Consequently it was crucial that we represent our the liberal viewpoint well -- mainly to recognize that a townhall isn't a protest rally. We sat on the front row. Three of us, including me, asked our questions politely, and Gramm responded politely (and shook our hands afterward). There was no drama.

The moral of the story: It truly isn't hard to act like a rational adult at a townhall meeting, even if you have very strong feelings on a subject."

Yeah, I did the same thing. How effective was THAT?

The next time you try it the question and answer session is cut off the moment they recognize you or realize what is going on.

Fascists wield power and exclude people. Who was in charge? Who got excluded? Who were not allowed to air their views or ask their questions?

It wasn't the fascists.

It was the proletariat rising. Marx and Lenin would get a kick out of that.

My dear kristinp,

"Obviously the conservatives among them think they are extra-wonderful people who have a special right to be rude and drown out speakers with bumper-sticker quality phrases."

Have you EVER heard a politician speak? What about the last presidential campaign?

Bumper-sticker quality phrases:

Believe.

Hope.

Change we can believe in.

Have you ever listened to Obama talk?

One bumper sticker right after another.

My dear TreeRol,

"This never happened at meetings with a war criminal, responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. But now that the government wants to try to help people and save money, there are riots.

This country is a joke."

Yes, the Bush people didn't allow dissenters in the building and most cases not even in the neighborhood. Most of those things were invitation only.

The only difference is that you LIKE this fascist war criminal because his skin is a shade darker.

His heart, however, is whiter than Bush and Cheney's.

What? No Billie Clubs, Water Hoses and Attack Dogs?

That worked pretty well in Selma, Alabama, didn't it?

Fascists and Nazis do not believe their targets have a right to be heard, much less attend their rallies to protest.

What the faux "liberal" fascists did to Palin has set a new standard.

Sow what you reap, and reap what you sow, Koppelman.

No, it wasn't a riot. This is what democracy looks like.

I don't agree with them, but I respect them far more than I do you.

FASCISTE!

What do you think Joan?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1204213/Spoof-poster-Obamas-face-painted-The-Joker-branded-dangerous-mean-spirited.html

Is that picture more dangerous and mean spirited than anything you publish about Sarah Palin?

When you lower the bar THAT low, you should expect lot worse.

The right-wing nutjobs will catch up to, and exceed your efforts.

You should feel proud.

My dear Support our Tropes,

"Man I'd love to see Sarah Palin put on a strap on and fuck Ms. Coulter in the mouth."

Is that you, Joan Wash?

I bet you and I are the only people here who didn't have to look trope up in a dictionary.

So , Joan, what would you be doing to either one of these lusty ladies?

(that's a rhetorical question Joan, only someone like "Support our Tropes" would want to know)

You can only hate those you love.

You can quote me on that.

My dear TheSteelGeneral@fastmail.fm,

Shooting clowns is not cool.

Even if they are evil clowns.

This is like a losing football team deciding to run their plays against the cheerleaders of the opposing team rather than the opposing team.

That being said, shooting Politicians, Fascists, Wall Streeters, War Mongers and Cabinet Members is simply not legal.

Less Jibber Jabber, more Guillotines.

After a legitimate and proper trial, but of course.

The the braying of hired jackasses that you suggest shooting will fall silent once the wheels of Justice actually turn a little.

My dear coolgranny,

Health care professionals DO let people die for a variety of reasons, incompetence, not caring to do your job properly and inability to pay.

Once you are old enough some will figure you are better off dead anyway.

you may end up being cooler than you want to be, especially if you are a granny.

My parents and brother were killed by them. They really cared more about the payment for the treatment than what the treatment was actually doing.

Results may vary. Good luck with any health problems.

Murder is legal.
