I am a CGI professional with experience with Photoshop, Painter, Lightwave, Open GL Performer and Maya, among many others. You didn't download the image and look at it. You are full of it. The resolution isn't the problem, the compression artifacts are the problem, but the "typed" letters are different than the "typeset" letters which do show the green pattern in the spaces.

I bought my first mac after I bought painter 2.0, that was several generations before Corel, which does suck, bought them and for all practical purposes abandoned the product. It is a creative tool whereas Photoshop is a work tool - an ignoramus like you would not know the difference and explaining it to you would be a waste of time.

I don't think you have any experience whatsoever with a graphics program which is why I suggested Elements. I used Photoshop LE on my home computer until I got CS3 and both are perfectly good tools unless you are publishing or making cgi. At work I have used PS 4, 4.5, 5, 6, 7 and CS2.

I have Maya so Photoshop is a low end tool for me.

Buy the software, install it on your computer and open up the image and look at the letters. Even a moron can tell that there is a difference between the letter/background artifacts.

I bet you don't even know what an artifact is. Anyone who works with any downloaded imagery with a graphics software tool should know what a compression artifact is, and you sir, do not. The checkerboard patterns around the letters are JPEG compression artifacts.
