Great read!

I almost passed this one up. I'm glad I didn't. A close friend of mine took the leap by moving to L.A to take acting lessons and try her hand. After 6 months she moved back home. Not a biggie, she did a brave thing. Just like the writer of this article.

Not everyone is cut out to chase their dream, and win the prize. But they at least are owed the chance to try. Good luck with your writing. You may very well be on to something else to make your name bigger. Very good.

Original article: Tyra: "Kiss my fat ass!"

Yes, but where do the so-called media get off?

I have to agree with her. While some say, she has an ego, she has a point. Media tend to attack, and also address this thin versus fat issue. It makes me wonder what's right or wrong, and who are we to say?

So she gained some weight. What's the point in attacking her? And who's to say what the norm is? I still don't get that. One day the magazines are saying, too thin! And the next, it's, look who's gotten fat? Puhleez! I read that Cher has gained 40 pounds, and I'm supposed to think that is awful? The woman is pushing 60. Let it go.

I was a size 2 from my teens into my mid 30's. Age has creeped up on me and I'm now a 10 - 12. While I don't go crazy on garbage food, I'm not going to be a size 2 again. I've accepted it and try to watch what I eat, but I'm not going to starve myself either. It's crazy.

Tyra was right about speaking her mind. Yes, it was a little over the top, but if you had a television show, and the same thing happened to you, I'm sure you would make the same speech. Cut the girl some slack.
