Who am I kidding, these guys are f****** sexy, I just wanna do them.
I personally know 2 people that voted for Hillary in Texas solely because they wanted to see the contest keep going, and at this point find her dissapointing. They're supporting Obama, and my sense is that 80% of those 18 million will be glad to vote for Obama in November.
Stop pushing these lines from Clinton press releases. Sure, Obama has to persuade some of these voters, but it's not a monolithic mass of die-hards - the cling-ons are the minority.
Hillary couldn't prevent Obama from winning the primary, because she is a highly flawed candidate who cultivates distrust in the American people and has shown her ability to mudsling and tear down anyone that gets in her way.
Why can't Salon and other Hillary media outlets understand the fact that Obama has won the primary fairly by all accounts?
More Pledged delegates.
Winning 30 states to her 15.
He has almost closed the superdelegate gap.
He leads her in the popular vote by 500,000 (and will recoup the 200,000 from Penn. in North Carolina).
The only reason she is still in it is the dynastic momentum of the name Clinton.
Clinton has made the specious argument that if Obama can't shut down her [wild, reckless, low-blowing] campaign, he can't defeat McCain. Why doesn't the media ask her why she couldn't shut down a relative unknown from becoming the frontrunner and winning the primary?
I think the worst example of journalists failure in this election is buying into the Hillary underdog myth.
"Just a small-town girl, livin' in a lonely world," sang Journey. Clinton disappeared beyond a blue curtain as the song's refrain, "Don't stop, believin'" played behind her.'
Please stop trying to sell this sentimental appeal for sympathy to us. Her whole campaign was based on ievitability from the start, Obama wasn't supposed to mess it up, and she was supposed to take us back to the 90s salad days of the Clinton dynasty.
If it were up to her (and apparently this journalist) she would get to script these 'touching' moments all the way to the white house. Instead, she's attacked the her fellow democratic nominee with Rovian tactics and repeatedly obfuscated and lied to the public. If she can't win the Presidency on the strength of her record and experience without resorting to that crap, she doesn't deserve to hold the office.
"a huge gathering at Penn State University Sunday, the only one of its kind planned for the bus trip, drew an estimated 22,000 "screaming liberal sycophants," as one prominent Republican has dubbed Obama crowds."
Do you repeat these kind of unfair stereotypes (screaming liberal sycophants) in order to highlight the inanity of those commenters who try to belittle the people that are inspired to attend Obama rallies, or is this your backhanded way of implying something without having to use your own words? I think you should be more honest, drop the snark and try to be objective.
I also find it interesting that the media has latched onto the "Obama is bad at bowling" meme. The title of the article gets your message across - bowling is a sport associated with working-class whites - and Obama's lack of skill at it implies him being out of touch with that class of people. Have you considered his skill at another sport, Basketball? I'm sure he could beat you or me in it, but to tout his skills at this sport wouldn't fit in with your image of an effete liberal.
