Why don't the Dems look at HRC's

politically expedient vote FOR the IWR over the Levin Amend to be percieved as "strong" on national security if they need a weather balloon..

Think that one was pretty evident as to why she never became the nominee.

It was seen as political opportunism.

O's jog will be seen for the same thing by someone who criticized her for it, who criticized Mac for his flip-flops (and the meme was sticking pretty well til now)..

and as a hypocrite, who just a few weeks ago, gave a speech to Americans on NOT BEING AFRAID..

How does any attack on the US think the GOP will be seen as stronger?

Explain to me the logic in that one.

Or on Iran--when people know this country is mortgaging everything it has and more to pay defense contractors like Halliburton, KBR, and Blackwater for 2 wars already and oil company piplines-how attacking Iran would make us safer or better off?

Puuuhleeez-the GOPs' been tipping thier hand for years as to what its' intentions were towards Iran.

But they have they been caught fishing cards out of their cuffs, pockets, socks cheating for a better hand..

(Sy Hersch has new article on troops inside Iran illegally).

It's really a huge letdown to Obama supporters---to be so ingratiously slapped in the face-by someone not only whom the public believed was someone with some convictions, courage, and intelligence-only to realize he's sold himself out to be just another pandering politician..

As someone who had Americans believing he saw the best in them as well-strength, courage, toughness, and honesty-and mirroring that:America finds herself back at square one with just another politician who sold himself out for the greatness he could have become (and America as well).

More enslavement by the corporate masters..

It was a stupid political gamble--if O was truly unafraid and courageous to be the instinctive born-leader he was meant to be--it would better serve Dems in holding seats in many of the upcoming elections in future years longterm..

But Dems are stupidly gambling short-term gains by jogging rt.-either to cover thier own corruption or selfish corporate interests over Americans'..

Buh-bye longterm Democratic strategy..

Political sellouts are a dime-a-dozen and easily replaced--

It's true leadership of courage, honesty, integrity, fairness, and strength that are the best at determining long-term strategy..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pardon

This Daniel Schorr sounds like he must have schooled under Yoo for law..

That's like saying "I'm Harry Potter and have a magic wand to make it disappear before it even appears"..

ummm...a pardon is only for a crime that has been given a sentence..

I see no reason why the battered-wife syndromed pansy-assed Dems would even fall for the logic in that one..

It's nothing short of ridiculous..

Take up telecom immunity in 09- and let the telcos keep sweating and out and throwing $$$ the Dems way til then..

Take the issue off the table now--guess what happens?....Rockefeller, Reid, clinton, Blue Dogs...:that gravy train dries up and it'll go right back into GOP pockets...

How dumb can you be?

(nevermind---don't answer that)

GG did you also happen to read the article

I'd emailed on Kos about the immunity not only being RETROactive but for any FUTURE activity as well.

Know anything?

Thought Nixon Had been charge with crime.

Sunday, June 29, 2008 02:46 PM

No GG

Nixon WAS convicted by the Senate for Watergate breakin--that's why a "there" was there for pardon..

if Telecoms have thus far NOT been convicted of any crimes--there's no pardon to be made-it's drawing circles in the air.

iow-wait it out til after 1-20.

Great work GG.

On Clark, I was disappointed that O. didn't hold his fire a little bit on the comments-though I do think it was very clumsily worded and would elicit strong emotions initially from just looking at once and not doing any further thinking on..

Which is of course, what most of the GOP does..

so it invited questioning and ambiguity..

I would at least, like to see O. give his supporters the benefit of the doubt-chastise the comment, but not the commenter. Clear up the ambiguity by staying on same page.

Giving in to fear-by reacting to GOP "feigned indignation" only shows weakness/giving in to GOP framing. All coins have 2 sides, all debate 2 sides--Just gotta be better at explaining your OWN thinking and principles-and quit worrying what others think or have as thiers..

You don't convince people by explaining that away with quotes from famous people or historical analysis--you convince them by leading by your own example,by your ability to think and coordinate the past, present, and future in the NOW-moment of analytical thinking in to action/progress.

It also involves melding all parts of ones' mind, body, and soul into one unified message that is written in our spritual(perhaps?) DNA.

That is the foundation of the core beliefs of staying true to oneself from a soulful purpose standpoint.

Too esoteric? Too metaphysical/philosophical for you readers here?

Your mistake would be in interpretting my meaning in anything religious...

Pertaining to higher belief? Yes--but not organizing as to infringe on others beliefs.

I rather like O's more funding Kuo's programs like Kuos'-but I don't like the idea of the labeling to stereotype anything "religious" and would like it to be recognized more as "spiritual"-to eliminate any partisan-church affiliation or elimination of Buddhism, Hinduism, metaphysics...to be more respectful of others' rights to thier beliefs.

The object should not be to convert more to Christianity-but to create and enforce an ideal in all of us, that will in turn, have a common goal of a more peaceful, happy, equal, just, and tolerant world which serves to bring out the individual best in all.
