Shooter..

your basic argument is very Scalia-like in its' "get over it already (when referring to his Supreme Ct. decison about the 2004 elections).

Maybe you're content to drink the GOP koolaid, cross your fingers, kiss Limbaughs'spewing mouth...

but the rest of Americans actually have a little thing called a conscience and will therefore NOT just "get over it".

(I mean, we will- once proper justice is brought to all the "get over it" wing).

Hi GG and readers:

http://www.dod.mil/pubs/foi/milanalysts/18%20Sep%2007/18%20Sep%20Release%20Rum%20Transcript.pdf

Heres's some interesting reads up at TPM about a doc dump.

this is just the 1st one I picked @ random to start with-response letters.

TPM has all of them up for any interested in looking @.

Makes for a very interesting (and sickening) read.

Bearpaw

You're more prescient than you know.

reading thru docs at TPM Gen Zinni was chastised by others at top as being liberal for saying some wanted troops needed to defend ports and Home borders.

He was told it was this kind of ideological thinking that was fascist, communist...

They even pointed out most of the same Gens had been present in coldwar----that's what this(Iraq) was...

we need to just send Obama a world-globe pin to wear.

Broders' gone

need a full-court press on TIME editors to get rid of Joe Klein.

If they don't respond- editor should have to explain who and why Joe Klein is allowed to write such bs..

Boycott Time if necessary-drop subscriptions.

Water-carriers should be shown the same door voters are showing the GOP.

Buhbye and good riddance.

Tempus-best comment of the thread

Principals are principals.

No matter what deabte the networks try to frame it..

(Good Celery, b-of course I

AL

(principles V principles) principals v princpals.

Networks want to create some sort of alternate argument.

I didn't see the interview-but I gather or it sounds like that's what happened..

That- plus networks get too complacent in thier interviews with people whom they are familiar with-and it does a disservice to the public.

Good Celery, Be--I always enjoy your comments..

Taken a break from news lately...I see I haven't missed out much.

My 2 cents fwiw.

let's backtrack over the last few weeks shall we?

The psy-ops are in place in this country-by AIPAC and other groups floating out ideas of "well who's gonna attack Iran"-and Israel says: "let's you and them fight"..

So they've been floating this little gem around for a few weeks now-hoping it seeps into the consciousness of people.

Then, they trot out this FISA bill--by Pelosi and the the Blue dogs..

So once again, it's the GOP playing manipulative mind-games with Dems who expect them to roll over the minute Iran is mentioned-thinking that in the publics' eyes it's a win-win for them..

To that I say-grow a pair Dems--We all know what the GOP is doing..In fact, Mac has been so bold as to have his minion Charlie Black say "The GOP will fare better if we are attacked again"..

So the GOP uses jacitation-the legal term for a boast that isn't true to manipulate the public and Dems (who seem to head for the hills every time terror is mentioned).

But NOT THIS TIME AROUND..

That jacitation will backfire--even in the face of polls suggesting people think Mac stronger..OF that I am SURE.

So Cheney lurking in the shadows concocting some sort of Pakistani-trained attack just before the elections--will this time wake people up finally who realize thay are tired of being held hostage to GOP fear-mongering tactics. they will also realize that it is EXACTLY these policies that have made our country one of the most despised by other countries-one of the most lawless (as the GOP has dismantled the Constittuion by hiring loyalists),the most unsafe-(for it's blatant disregard for human life and imperialistic ventures in Mideast-not to mention the recognition of the Crusader-like vehemence of Arabs/Muslims (even while buying their oil-ironic).

Yeah we know what's coming--but this time around it's not going to work.. And it's not going to work only when people stand up for thier rights and hold those in office accountable.

Playing the same mind-games will not work either..

Core principles, courage, and integrity are what WILL prevail.

Dems need to get a clue and stop rolling over..

I don't care how smart John Dean is--those are my 4th Amend. rights that I want/I respect..So I CHOOSE NOT TO give them up in some penny-ante poker game..I don't want blind-mans' bluff being played with my rights either..

As a Constituional legal scholar, I would think the Constituion would be first and foremost what Obama would be speaking up for..

The political expediency game is the wrong way to go.
