Watched Dodds' filibuster on Cspan.

Signed Janes' petition for "no immunity" to Reid.

Signed another one at Reddit for "ex post facto" legality/illegality of telecom immunity that went to both of my state senators.

I still think ex post facto applies here-which makes Reid or anyone who tries to give immunity, a lawbreaker, who can be subject to civil lawsuits by Americans.

Ex post facto was put in the Constitution for these reasons-don't break the law in the first place, cause you can't be immunized.

I have no sympathy at all for Telecoms who went along with GW's illegal spying-they are well aware of the 4th Amendment and know privacy laws, not to mention having lots of lawyers at their disposal to ask.

It amazes me, quite frankly to see

any of the GOP candidates raise thier anti-abortion stances as some sort of medal of honor for children.

In the meantime, we're getting toys laced with lead-and nothing being done.

We get the S-chip bill turned down to provide insurance for sick kids.

You get worldwide pollution(cars, coal and oil companies,..)-which is causing birth defects and illnesses in kids.

You get kids sent off to wars before they can even buy a beer legally.

Kids who have to make the decision to take anothers' life-and find a way to survive straight out of high school-without even understanding why they are there in the first place.

Kids from Katrina who still can't move back into thier homes-and had to wait 4 days for any of our govt. to help them.

Personally, I'm sick of the abortion debate-and would like to know why the preoccupation with dead babies takes so much precedence over living ones.

The hypocrisy of the GOP to ignore all of the above issues shows the lunacy of "the-sky-is-falling" hysteria and the primordial brains that I so frequently speak of in regard to the GOP.

The greater sin between a woman who had an abortion and a politician, who's failure to provide safe, secure, free, happy, clean environment to replace the

toxic one for LIVING kids is a no-brainer to me.

Good to see so many MALE

commenters here debating what they think a woman SHOULD or SHOULD NOT do with HER own body.

It's really just a control issue-just as slavery was.

Happy winter solstice and happy holidays today.

Chris Dodds' father was an American prosecuting Attorney during the Nuremburg trials. I think Dodd IS this principalled, when it comes to lawbreaking-as he had a father who set the bar high on this. Reid-I can't figure out. I either think he is the dummest man on Capital Hill-or the sleaziest. But to say it was because of elections-he should know Dodds' background better than that. To doubt another Democrats' intentions over those of the GOP-is just plain lunacy. Specter is working on bill to make govt accountable over telecoms-since that is where fault lies.

Is Arlen trying to make behind the scenes deal with Reid-not to investigate lawlessness of Cheney/GW on past spying to date? That's my bet on why Reid scrapped til Jan.

OFFTOPIC: Anyone know what the story McCain is trying to get squashed by Drudge? Drug use? Curious...

Paul Dirks

Just read the other day about a "rendition flight" that went down in a South American country which had 4 tons of cocaine in its' cargo.

How the Bushs' have been able to cover their own drug running-for arms via the CIA is beyond me.From the failed Coast guard boats in Fla. that GHB41 had his buddy (maker of Donzi boats)and his own "Fidelity"-cigarette-boat-to catch drug-runners-to Abramoffs' Fla. off-shore floating casinos--it all adds up to drugs. (btw-the owner of the Coast-guard boats mysteriously died the day before he was set to testify on the crap he had built the Coastguard.

I enjoy your comments Be!

Tempers are nasty these long days of winter-cabin fever and the short days hit us all. But don't worry-the day of the the sun comes tomorrow to lengthen the days and cheer up our spirits.
