It's that kind of vitriolic anger you aimed at me that I don't understand why you don't have aimed at AIPAC, if they so misrepresent your views.
Where is your allegiance first?
To the US or Israel?
Of what country DO you belong?
I am an American first-and always will be.
I do think we should have a draft-and I think it should be for the party of the President that declares war.
Maybe that would make a President quit using the men, women, parents, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers.... as expendable killing machines instead of the human, thinking, feeling beings that they are.
Beings unlike you: Gator, LWM---who had THIER futures cut all too short for someone elses' selfish motives.
OH and btw--Saddam was NOT connected to 911.
Do you think other readers here can't read YOUR past comments to me on the 1.David Duke 2. Off the rails 3. anti-semite?
Now it it's "her problems".
I can vet my sources just fine. Anyone can look up for themselves all of the things I've said and find them on the nets-just as I did becasue I want to find out the truth.
You have a very condescending way of trying to speak and to judge other posters her by starting with comments like "I think you mean..." or "Maybe YOU should use this word...." when it is not up to you to do so.
Becasue I am an individual who likes to speak from emotion and intellect-I can't expect anyone who only engages in intellectual debate to know what my feelings are at the time of writing. It is becasue I am an individualist, that I very much dislike people thinking they can put words in my mouth or speak for me. I know I am not a conventional thinker either, but I do my homework and research on the things that I say. People may not like what I have to hear-but at the same time I think-well, somebody's gotta hear it, it NEEDS to be said.
On behalf of the people who have (or had) to fight these unjustified wars--it NEEDS to be said.
RESPECT.
I still think that rather waiting for or in concerted effort with Congress-all state Govs. and people forming efforts for violations of freespeech-be it in the form of lawsuits by individual states to challenge any amnesty or in petition form by state collected signatures for states to override Bush's law. They could do so I still think by looking into inter-intra state commerce laws which threaten the individual security of each state.
States could also ban the use of any of secondary companies like Comvers, Amdoc, or any other company telcos are using that THEY themselves contracted out without considering state security/state commerce secrets violations. States could also allow more competition of thier own homegrown Telcos that keeps the Federal govt. out of the violations of the 4th Amendment. This would give consumers the right to choose those over those telcos violating rights.
States could also lobby to have these companies booted from thier states.States could also demand all Telcos have had tested their software programs and test them themselves, along with all subsidiary companies for leaks in security. Perhaps legal eagles here could offer more suggestions at a state level.
MOst all computer programs are Windows, Linux, ancient DOS--how hard would it be for programmers to write some new programs on their own and sell them for computer-users. after all Windows is the universal application that probably enables the encription of emails...
I keep thinking of the law of physics-for every force there is an equal and opposite force.
While one may not think of soundwaves/freqencies as a "force" of the electromagnetic spectrum-they are. Maybe we just haven't found that "opposite" force yet-and may altogether stop a call from going through-which of course would be counterproductive to a phone call! But maybe from the state level to somehow be able to jam/scramble once it leaves a states border. In addition they could also set up their own billing system for telecoms-to keep state records within the state.
I sense much despair in posters here who want to have the problem solved and see the Democratic complicity in it. DUh.
We now know this-so it's time we organize at state levels to contest it.Should also petition for recall elections of those sellout Dems (Lieberman would be my first target).
I don't know how I know-but I know(ok, I do-but I'd rather not get into it)....things WILL get better people!
That's not to say things can't get worse before they get better-but they will in the end get better-may just take a year or so.The best way to ensure this is to pay close attention to Presidential politics-and start there.
ever read your phone bill-with all of the extra charges attached to them. They aren't paying these outsourced companies out of thier own pockets-it's being passed on. Why not challenge them on "taxation without representation" and make them explain these charges-and how they took it upon themselves to make the decison to outsource to other companies without letting customers know.
Signed Janes' petition for "no immunity" to Reid.
Signed another one at Reddit for "ex post facto" legality/illegality of telecom immunity that went to both of my state senators.
I still think ex post facto applies here-which makes Reid or anyone who tries to give immunity, a lawbreaker, who can be subject to civil lawsuits by Americans.
Ex post facto was put in the Constitution for these reasons-don't break the law in the first place, cause you can't be immunized.
I have no sympathy at all for Telecoms who went along with GW's illegal spying-they are well aware of the 4th Amendment and know privacy laws, not to mention having lots of lawyers at their disposal to ask.
