you make my my point about self-indulgence.
I'm actually a very happy person because I don't think I am self-indulgent. I don't need statistics like you've cited relating to YOUR materialism and priorities oil, housing,$$,employment rate..
Most people can decide for themselves whether they are happy or not without referring to statistics as thier benchmarks.
fwiw:
the price of oil was $23 in 2000,$98 now.
the euro is worth 1.58 compared to the dollar.
it was lenders that gave those "poor" mortgages-the "poor" didn't do it on thier own.
amount of Iraqis killed over 600,000 (that was posted a yr ago)
Iraqis killed by mercenaries (at least 15 that we KNOW of)
amount of limbless vets (not sure of the number).
I guess that's the difference between being a Dem V GOPer.
Dems don't usually cite their top priorities as the almighty dollar or economic terms-dems can see the humanistic side of politics and the price that people have to pay for MASSIVE errors in judgement-like going into a country we had no business going into with NO connection to 911.
We don't need to put a fish on our Hummers to prove we're good people.
We care about living things, the environment, humans, veterans: past/future/present 1st, and how happy we are at this present time-not $$$$.
We Dems are just funny that way. Heh.
Look at the stories that have broken just this week alone.
Guiliani expenses for mistress showing up under other expense accounts.
-Giuliani security company having ties to terrorists in Quatar.
-Roger Ailes/Fox giving Reagan the boot to shut her up.
Not to mention:
-using torture techniques as a prosecutor
-Bernard Kerick having mob ties.
-promoting a Priest who was a child molester.
Other obvious:
-kids won't even vote for him.
-wanted to move his mistress into house while still married.
-most of the firefighters and first responsers to 911 dislike him/the job he did on 911 (radios...)
At what point can he keep glossing over collectively, ALL of these things?
I don't understand why the Fox story is not a bigger deal than it is.
It is the epitomy of the msm being propagandized-by not only grooming him for a run at the WH as a longterm plan-by giving him plenty of media coverage-but by intentionally trying to go after anyone with stories about Giuliani(Reagan)to shut them up.
But sometimes a high-energy electron can become a free-radical and knock everything (low energy) out of her path.
I'll be good-had my fun for the day!
Just practicing my takedown moves for the WWF.
Interesting..I've never known bowling allys to have ice cream.......just cheap draft beer....but ok.
fwiw:
The number of 600,000 Iraqi deaths was one I'd found in a UK report-either the Times or The Guardian over a year ago. I've yet to see any numbers provided by any US publications.
Unfortunately even after that again, the Pentagon changed their reporting of Iraqi deaths as the public found out in the Petraeus report (fudged numbers).
There is an antidote to that cut n' paste syndrome of yours-
It's called thinking for yourself.
