Maybe Cheney and Bush

Would use an October Suprise to suspend the election for National Security (start goosesteppin' baby) ...and Hill ..don't give up - I see another opportunity.

@ Picko

You are both right. Always take the high road and do ignore the baiting from Republican Trolls ( You know the list)who are no more democrat than Karl Rove. I don't think anyone who posts on these forums has had their opinion changed by ANYTHING they have seen written here. I have however seen some thoughtful insight into the issues that caused me to think. Lets get back to going after those who deserve our attention.

Anyone see the interview on Bill Moyers

with the two guys who wrote the book "The Experts Speak" Freidman is "definetely" an expert. He ought to team up with Bill Kristol as prognosticator of future events.

@Datdamwuf and others Then there is the other extreme

I lived in Miami for 20 years and it has become a place where anglos have to assimilate. There is not much assimilation going on there. The overpowering latin population (70%)totaly dominates the culture (Spanish news at 11:00 # 1 in this market) I since moved to central Florida where it is mostly whitebread Republican...so I've been a minority in 2 places.

@FranZooey

Before Miami I lived in Toronto where muliticulturalism is celebrated. I lived in neighborhoods (my favorite was the Portugese) all over the city. The key there was that no one culture was dominant and all used english as a common meeting point. I suppose that some areas of the country have changed permanently and if you don't like it adapt or move.

There are more

holes in his logic than swiss cheese. Obama will reduce him to a blathering idiot in the debate. Maybe he will get him going so he looses his temper. The campaign sofar has proven that at least a portion of the populace ain't going be fooled again by the bullshit. (Anyone heard any more about the gas tax rebate) ..I rest my case

Good For Chris

When I came across the show I turned it off thinking I had stumbled across Monday Night Wrestlemania. Usually Matthews tolerates such Idiocy - good to see him use some journalistic chops for a change.

What an airhead jerk- a definitive of what is wrong with TEE-VEE news as they try to "balance" the commentary instead of pointing out obvious flaws in the logic of the pundits

Deliberate Thoughtfull debate with facts

Would drive the ratings into the basement(please see Stephanopolis, Gibson et al at the last debate)The only other place you see the idoicy challenged is Countdown and the Daily show

As someone said in another post

the McCain Piniata is ready for any easy whack

Original article: Obama Strikes Back

All he needs to do

Is to put together a short video of the amalgamated cons, flip flops and outright lies proffered by this administration and bring it to every speaking engagement to remind Mr & Mrs Short Attention Span America of what this adminsitration has wrought

Friday, May 16, 2008 08:02 PM

Au contraire, mes amis.

We will have a most enjoyable time watching the McBush campaign implode. If you have been watching the news tonight McCain and Bush are both taking heat for their childish take on the meaning of appeasement. Barack calling them out and challenging them only made it sweeter. Finally someone who can articulate and rebuff the talking point mentality.

@AJCalhoun

I think that Mr. and Mrs average American are "mad as hell" and will not fall for the bullshit talking points anymore. (heard anything more about gas tax holidays?)You can see a general swing in the MSM outlook...they are coming around slowly to Daily Show

method of hanging them with their own words. Witness the tape on CNN of Grandpa saying we should talk to Hammas from two years ago. This is going to be fun.

She Hit the nail on the head... PUNDITS

who think that their blovations amount to fact or what we should believe is the truth. They ought to stick to prognosticating about Paris Hilton, Miley Cirus and other such "important" news

Monday, May 19, 2008 12:35 PM

@weslen1 HEY!!!! MISSED

Wow and all this before....

Grandpa gets his ass handed to him on a platter in the first debate

I lived in Miami for 20 years

and let me tell you the level of pandering to that vocal minority was beyond belief. Every channel on TV all Cuba all the time... along with the never ending Castro watch.... if he farted they would say "oh he'll be gone soon" and they all would be on the street waving Cuban Flags and honking their horns. I truly believe that if it changed very few would leave Miami and return as they have it too good in the US . The only motivation for going back would be to exploit the people on the island. If they allowed unrestricted travel and dollars to Cuba it would change the people still on the island. If they had more tourists spreading capitalism and freedom memes it would evolve slowly. I had a college professor from Cuba who told me he believed the party line until he traveled to Europe and discovered that he had been fed lies all his life. He left the island as soon as he returned from Europe (on a raft across the straits of Florida)

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 06:08 PM

That says it all

People are voting with their wallets. I had the Florida Dem Party call and ask for money. I told them piss off I'm giving it to Obama where it will do some good.

As an Obama supporter even I

was appalled at how over the top the coverage was on this. Even Keith Olberman who I normally respect was frothing at the mouth with indignation. The public has been dumbed down to expect these O'Reilly style rants. The whole tee-vee nation is being marketed to as dumb and dumber. Witness this summer offering from NBC Celebrity Circus http://www.tvsquad.com/tag/CelebrityCircus/

Now thats entertainment
