I stand corrected. I did not know the term cornified equated to keratinized, nor was I necessarily fully aware that the latter term was used in this case. So, oyu are right about that.

but no, I would not say there is a 'night and day' difference at all. In fact, to pull an old formula/chestnut out, the variation in penises (functioning, size, shape, etc.) is so great that, within the circumcised and uncircumcised populations variation outstrips the variation between the mean of the two populations.

Beyond that, I never said there was not a change... indeed there was, as we are discussing. It is just that, experientially, it is not to the fantastic, all-encompassing degree that you claim. The body has not been 'fundamentally changed,' and to do so is a case of excessive phallic identification.

There are any number of compliants circumcised men have made, including tears and cuts to the foreskin during sex... This sounds pretty awful to me. I don't advance this as substantive reasoning why people SHOULD be circumcised. I merely think you should afford the same level of civility towards those who practice circumcision, as once upon a time, when circumcising was especially fashionable, the cut in the majority in the locker room afforded the uncut.

Is a rather nebulous term, and frequently is discussed in the conrext of abortion, which, as it is time for me to leave there is no way to get into.

But in principle I agree with you.

But no, I don't believe a 5 year old has utter bodily autonomy, inasmuch as the child may well feel compelled to refuse medical treatment. I'm not gonna buy that. Baby goes under the knife! My kid's going to school too, no matter what he or she says.

You ditz head... the media has been chock full of stories about Obama's amaaaazzin' raisin' paired with stories that Clinton was broke. This was stroy saying Hillary is NOT broke.

Duh. Is there no level of predictable rhetoric some Obama supporters will go to? Our candidate was NEVER an underdog and was practically canonized by he media the day he gave the speech at the contention.

Statutory rape laws ARE reconsidered. Its called 'age of consent' which is not 18. I happen to live one of the states with the lowest age of consent (the other being Hawaii, I believe). That number is a modest 14... hurray for us you prudish chump states!

Also, in the case of under 18 age of consent locales, there is usually a specified gap -- the oldert that a minors sexual partner may be. It is usually 5 years. So a 15 y.o. can date a 20 y.o.

So, as the wacky sign guys always says: Hope that helps.

we are actually 13... given the gap... maybe it has changed when last I needed the law for this...

But we have gotten more conservative in our old age.

    From wiki:

The age of consent in Pennsylvania is 13 years / 16 years of age.

The age of consent is 13 years of age when the oldest person (both must be over 13) is less than four years older than the complainant. for example... 13/(17 - 1 day) 14/ (18 - 1 day) 15/ (19- 1 day).

The age of consent is 16 years of age in all other cases.

I am thinking you decidedly did NOT do the right thing, so your thesis is correct.

Oh lord... here come the testimonies from people who once went to europe on a semester abroad 15 years ago. Surely we are in for several spates of unsubstantiated drivel about how much healthier and open the euros are about Sex, no doubt proven, in their minds, beyond a doubt by the presence of Mitterand's mistress at the funeral more than 10 years ago.

    bring it on.

All I'm saying is that endless people who know not one whit about france or the french romanticize this stereotype about the french. Its all bogus of course; besic census data shows that the French are MORE not less likely to embrace so-called traditional values. I am no conservative mind you, lest you grab ahold of that phrase. But the french are no more likely to be sexual libertines than americans. As I said, and Amerigo noted to some extent. While marriage may be on the decrease, seemingly what we would call 'common law' marriages of extended cohabitation would indicate greater monogamy and less dating.

ut even without going there, it pretty easy to see that all this 'french-as-open-minded-libertines' has little to do with fact and everything to do with American romanticizations of the French along with a degree of self-loathing.

That is not 'sizable'... at any rate, as I have been panting for months, this was pretty expected. It was good job on my candidates part to paint himself as the underdog, when in fact he never was even close to being such.

Amazingly my fellow Obama supporters have actually convinced themselves that we WERE underdogs, and that we are watching some sort of miracle comeback. How silly. Hillary will lose either Ohio or Texas, probably the formaer and will need to take all the delagates in PA, which won't happen, so I'd say she is dead in the water. Of course, plenty of time left, but little doubt in this mond of mine that B.O. will be making the convention smell like roses.
